So, dating as an international couple is a bit different from dating a normal couple, and a lot of people are curious as to how to do it. Well here is what we do.

Firstly, we cannot go out on dates every day, because we a not in the same country all the time, so this means in order to date, one of us would have to travel to the other one’s location. In my case, that meant I had to fly all the way from Denmark to Korea, which is a long journey, but you know what, it was completely worth it. We got to spend a lot of time together and I got to see a lot of new places and try some new food, which was great.

국제커플이 데이트하는 것은 일반 다른 커플에 비하면 약간 힘들 수 있습니다. 그래서 많은 사람들은 어떻게 데이트 하는지 궁금해합니다. 그래서 여기 우리가 데이트 하는 방식을 공개합니다.

첫 째로, 우리는 항상 같은 나라에 있지 않기 때문에 매 번 데이트하기 위해 밖에 나갈 수 없습니다. 따라서, 둘 중에 한명은 나른 나라로 여행을 가야 합니다. 제 경우에는 비행기를 고 덴마크에서 한국으로 가야 했습니다. 즉, 정말 긴 여행입니다. 그러나 여러분들은 이 것이 얼마나 가치 있는 행동인지 알 것입니다. 우리는 많은 시간을 함께 보내면서, 많은 새로운 장소를 보기도 하고, 여러 음식을 먹었습니다.

 

Now let me tell you a bit about one of my trips to Korea.

Whenever we dated in Korea we normally went out eating somewhere, and then we did our all-time favorite thing, which was trying to pick up a doll from the claw machine. In Denmark we don´t really have those claw machines, so I surely had a lot of fun trying to pick up some dolls, and as you can see on the picture, I did succeed in winning something, however, my boyfriend never won.

 

이제 여러분께 한국 여행의 일부를 소개하고자 합니다. 보통 우리는 한국에서 데이트 할 때마다 무언가를 먹으로 밖에 나갔습니다. 그리고 우리가 항상 즐겨하는 인형 뽑기도 했습니다. 덴마크에는 이런 인형 뽑기 기계가 없습니다. 정말로 저는 인형 뽑기 하는 것이 너무 즐거웠습니다. 그리고 여러분에 밑에 사진을 보시면 알듯, 직접 인형도 뽑아봤습니다. 저는 인형 뽑기에 성공하는데, 제 남자친구는 한 번도 뽑아 본적이 없습니다.

We personally really enjoyed trying street food and all kinds of food (later I will make a list of must eat foods in Korea). We also often went to coin karaoke, which both of us really enjoyed, but most of the time it was just my boyfriend who was singing, although I did sing quite a bit as well, because there are English songs in the coin karaoke, which is great, personally before I went to Korean I never tried coin karaoke before, since it is not a thing Danish people seem to enjoy, neither or less I really enjoyed it. The reason as to why my boyfriend was the one who was singing the most is that he just really loves coin karaoke, and he called my singing voice ugly, which it is.

 

우리 커플은 정말로 길거리 음식을 정말 좋아하고, 사실 모든 음식을 정말 좋아합니다. (나중에, 한국에서 먹어야 하는 음식에 대해 소개하겠습니다). 우리는 자주 코인 노래방에 자주 갔습니다. 정말 우리 둘다 코인 노래방 데이트를 좋아했습니다. 그렇지만 대부분 남자친구가 노래를 다 불렀습니다. 비록 저는 또한 노래를 약간 부르긴 했지만요. 코인 노래방에는 팝송도 있어서 정말 좋았습니다. 개인적으로 한국에 가기 전에는 한 번도 코인 노래방을 경험해본 적이 없습니다. 왜냐하면, 덴마크 사람들은 그런 놀이를 잘 즐기지 못합니다. 정말 제 남자친구는 노래 하는걸 좋아해서, 코인 노래방에 가면 계속 노래를 부릅니다. 그리고 제 남자친구는 저에게 노래를 못한다고 했습니다.

 

The best thing on the trip to me was when we went on a ferry trip in Han river, it was so amazing, I surely will recommend other people who travel to Korea to take a ferry trip, although I mostly recommend this for couples, since I do believe it is a romantic trip. Also, if you are a couple, stop by Namsan tower, I will talk more detailly about our trip to Namsan tower in another post. ^^

 

한국 여행 중 한강에서 유람선을 타러 갔을 때가 제일 좋았습니다. 그것은 정말 멋졌습니다. 저는 정말로 한국을 여행하는 사람들에게 유람선 여행을 추천할 것입니다. 또한, 만약 여러분이 커플이라면, 남산 타워에 가보세요. 다른 포스트에서 남산타워 여행에 관해 자세히 설명하겠습니다.^^

 

But one thing that is for everyone, is that you should visit the Kakao store, but I will warn you, you cannot avoid buying something there. If you choose to go there, you surely should stop by their café on the last floor, although I will say the cake and the coffee is not better than any other café´s in Korea, it is a unique experience and something that you must try, or at least to me it is.

 

그러나 한 가지, 여러분에게 카카오 스토어에 가는 것을 추천합니다. 하지만, 한 가지 경고 하자면, 그곳에서 물건을 안 사고 나오는 것은 불가능 것입니다. 여러분이 카카오 스토어에 가기로 마음 먹었다면 꼭대기 층 카페에 가시는 것을 추천합니다. 저는 이 카페에서 파는 케이크와 커피가 다른 카페보다 더 맛있다고 할 수는 없지만, 독특한 경험을 선사할 것입니다. 특히, 저에게는 그랬습니다.
