So, I am trying to be a good girlfriend and learn to cook Korean food, for my boyfriend. And let´s just say it surely has its ups and downs with my cooking. As time passes I have come to realize that I absolutely suck at following a recipe, I for some mystical reason always like to add my own touch, which my boyfriend does not always seem to appreciate, because I maybe sometimes make the food a bit too spicy or a bit to untraditional for his liking, anyway I am trying my best, because cooking Korean food is just a part of learning Korean culture. I will to that add my boyfriend will never have to learn to cook Danish food, since I do not like Danish food, and neither does he.

 

저는 좋은 여자친구가 되고, 한국 요리도 배우려고 노력하고 있습니다. 그래서 제 요리 솜씨는 좋을 때도 있고 나쁠 때도 있습니다. 솔직히, 레시피를 잘 따라하지 못합니다. 제가 원하는 것을 추가하고 싶기 때문입니다. 때때로 제 요리는 너무 맵거나 전혀 한국 음식 같지 않기 때문에 제 남자친구는 그 다지 제 요리를 좋아하지 않습니다. 그렇지만 저는 항상 최선을 다해 요리를 합니다. 왜냐하면 음식 또한 한국의 문화이기 때문입니다. 덧붙이자면, 제 남자친구는 절대 덴마크 음식을 배우고 싶지 않아 합니다. 왜냐하면 저 또한 덴마크 음식을 별로 좋아하지 않기 때문입니다.

 

 

Sometimes my boyfriend gets this great idea, which is about us cooking together, seems fairly romantic, right? How about no. So, it always starts out great, but then suddenly it is not that great, because a surgent person starts getting angry because I am cleaning up the mess (he is a messy cooker). And also, maybe because I enjoy eating the ingredients, but I will say that is pretty normal. Besides, sometimes I do try to add my own touch, which my boyfriend does not seem to appreciate. But all in all, we always end up with a great result and a clean kitchen.

가끔 제 남자친구는 함께 요리하는 생각을 떠올리기도 합니다. 낭만적이지 않나요? 항상 언제나 그렇듯 시작은 순조롭습니다. 하지만 금세 좋지 않은 기운을 느끼게 됩니다. 제 남자친구는 화를 내기 시작합니다. 제가 계속 주방 정리를 하기 때문에 (제 남자친구는 정리를 안하고 요리합니다). 그리고 저는 요리하는 도중 식재료를 먹는 것을 정말 좋아합니다. 저는 그게 별로 대수롭지 않다고 생각합니다. 그리고 이따금 다른 재료를 추가하려고 합니다. 제 남자친구는 그런 부분을 정말 싫어합니다. 그렇지만, 결국에 좋은 음식과 깨끗한 주방으로 요리를 끝냅니다.

 

Also, I did learn to cook a few Korean dishes, and I will try to learn to cook more, once my boyfriend is able to trust me in the kitchen again ^^. I actually tried to convince him to let me cook fried chicken, but he does not trust me with extremely hot oil.

 

지금 저는 몇 가지 한국 음식을 할 줄 압니다. 하지만 더 많은 음식을 만들어보고 싶습니다. 제 남자친구가 저를 요리사로서 신뢰해줬으면 좋겠습니다.^^

저는 정말로 남자친구에게 신뢰감을 주기 위해 프라이드 치킨을 해주려고 했습니다. 하지만 뜨거운 기름 때문에 절대 허락해주지 않습니다.
