Lilaeopsis Novae-Zelandiae can grow very compact, but a "lawn effect" (4-7 cm tall) is only achieved at high light intensity. When planting the pad in the aquarium, cover the grid entirely with a centimeter of bottom layer material to help the plants grow new roots. Place it away from the shading of other plants to ensure it gets good light.

릴라이옵시스 노바이 젤란디아이는 매우 조밀하게 자랄 수 있다. 그러나 "잔디 효과" (크기 4-7 cm)에 도달하기 위해서는 높은 광량이 필요하다. 수조의 바닥에 심을 때, 수초가 새 뿌리를 낼 수 있는 바닥비료를 1 센티미터 밑에 전체적으로 덮어줘야한다. 풍부한 빛을 받을 수 있도록 다른 식물이 가리지 않도록 주의 해야 한다.
