Lilaeopsis brasiliensis from South America can grow very compact, but a 'lawn effect' (4-7 cm tall) is only achieved at high light intensity. When planting in the aquarium small clumps (approx. 1/8 pot) should be placed a few centimeters apart to help the plants grow together more quickly. Place in an open position without shading from other plants to ensure good light. Lilaeopsis brasiliensis can be used in garden ponds, and also tolerates low salt concentrations in brackish aquariums.

코브라그라스는  남아메라카에서 왔으며 매우 조밀하게 자랄 수 있다. 그러나 흔히 잔디 효과 (4-7 cm 높이)는 오직 높은 광량에서만 가능하다. 수조에 심을 때 작은 그룹으로 식재할 때, (약 1/8 포트)는 약 몇 센티미터 떨어진 곳에 심어야 함께 빨리 자라는 것을 촉진할 수 있다. 풍부한 광량을 얻기 위해서 다른 수초로 가리지 말아야 한다. 코브라그라스는 집 정원의 연못에도 사양 할 수 있으며 약간의 염분이 있는 수조에서도 살아 남을 수 있다.
