The cultivar Echinodorus 'Barthii' is a decorative and beautiful solitary plant for large aquariums. It becomes 25-50 cm tall and the whole rosette 20-30 cm wide. The leaves change color from dark-red in the youngest leaves to dark-green in the oldest. The color develops well when the light intensity is high and there are sufficient micro-nutrients in the aquarium. A nutritious bottom and CO2 addition promote growth. This plant takes a lot of light from plants underneath, so it must be pruned occasionally. It used to be sold as "Double Red".

재배종 에키노도루스 '바르티'는 큰 수조에 적합한 아름답고 장식에 탁월한 단정(줄기 하나에 잎이 하나만 있음) 식물이다. 높이는 25-50 cm이며 전제 로제트 20-30 cm 너비다. 새 잎은 보통 검붉은 색을 띠지만 시간이 지나면서 짙은 녹색을 띤다. 광량이 높고, 수조에 미량원소가 충분히 있으면 색이 잘 발달 한다. 영양분 있는 바닥과 이산화탄소 첨가는 성장을 촉진시킨다. 이 식물은 다른 잎들이 계속 자라면서, 밑부분에 있는 잎은 빛을 받지 못할 것이다. 그래서 가끔 가지치기를 해줘야 한다. 이전에는 "더블 레드"라는 이름으로 팔리곤 했다.
