This American Eleocharis has a fresh grass green color and grows to be 20-40 cm high. It is basic and low maintenance. Each straw is only a few millimeters thick and the plant maintains an open form of growth. It is suitable as a background plant, and can further be planted in front and in the center of the aquarium, in transparent wads, in order to create depth and perspective. The plant spreads through runners, which occasionally have to be trimmed and maybe planted elsewhere.

자이언트 헤어그라스는 푸른 녹색을 띠며 20-40 cm 높이까지 자란다. 이 수초는 기본이면서 유지하기 쉽다. 각각의 잎은 단지 몇 밀리미터 두께이며 수초는 개방된 형태의 성장을 유지한다. 이 수초는 후경으로 알맞으며, 원근감과 깊이를 줄기위해서 투명한 형태로 수조의 전경이나 중경용으로도 심을 수 있다. 이 식물은 러너를 통해 번식하며 때때로 다듬어주면서, 다른 곳에 심어줘야 한다.
