Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae is from Southern Thailand where there are limestone mountains, and the water can be very hard. Like many other Cryptocorynes it needs to acclimatize before growth starts in earnest. Leaves become 20-60 cm long and the single rosette plant becomes 15-20 cm wide.

크립토코리네 크리스파툴라는 var. 발란세는 남태국에서 왔으며, 석회암 산이 있어 경수인 곳에서 서식한다. 다른 크립토코리네와 마찬가지로 성장을 본격적으로 시작하기 전에 적응을 잘해야 한다. 잎은 20-60cm길이며, 하나의 로제트 식물은 너비가 15-20 cm이다.
