잘 알려진 아테란테라의 소형 버전(이 수초)은 조밀하고 더 느린 성장이 특징이다. 특히 작은 수조 알맞으며, 큰 수조의 전경으로도 좋다. 잘 다듬어 준다면 5-10cm높이의 조밀한 붉은 보라색의 카페트를 만들 수 있다. 높은 광량과 이산화탄소 첨가는 식물의 성장과 전반적인 외관을 향상시켜준다.
