Variety of Ludwigia repens from North America with striking dark red leaves and stalk. Stems from 20-50 cm and 4-6 cm wide. It makes a find color contrast to the green shades in the aquarium. Plant in large groups to enhance the decorative effect and prune regularly to encourage bushy growth. The plant makes few demands, but if the light is insufficient the lower leaves tend to fall off. In strong light, the color becomes more intense.

루드위지아 레펜스 '루빈'은 북아메카에서 왔으며, 눈에 띠는 붉은 입과 줄기를 가지고 있다. 줄기는 20-50 cm의 크기와, 4-6 cm 너비다.

 이 수초는 수조에서 녹색 식물과 색상에서 큰 대조를 이룬다.  효과적인 장식효를 위해서 큰 그룹으로 식재하는 것을 추천하며, 정기적으로 가지치기를 해주는 것이 덤블같은 모양으로 성장하는 것을 도와준다. 이 수초는 별로 까다롭지 않지만, 광량이 부족하다면 낮은 쪽의 잎이 떨어지는 경향이 있다. 높은 광량에서는 색이 더 진해진다.
